Known for its staggering steep ascents, exposed ridgelines and demanding descents, the TDS race by UTMB is considered one of the most technically challenging trail races in the world. Offering a raw and rugged ultramarathon experience through the heart of the Alps, it spans 90 miles and climbs over 30,000 feet of elevation gain.

We chased Jiqian Wang all over the Italian and French alps on his way to a massive 12th place finish. Filming this kind of event was truly its own special endurance effort, with hundreds of kms spent driving through night, many miles logged on trail and plenty of power naps on trail and roadside. I am forever grateful for Oriol Batista's enormous effort driving us all through the night and day and night. I don't know how he did it. Allez!
